Naa, i'd just rather a nice Akrapovic system on a M5. Guaranteed to sound nicer and remove the cat.

What are you trying to build? A Sunday driver? A budget beast? A race car?

How much funds do you have to spend?

You if you want max HP, look at what engines could be bored at. For my dad's '79 Ford Bronco, we had the original 351M motor and did a 49 over boar so now it is a 400. We could go to a 410, but it isn't meant to go fast lol. You also have to look at what else are you putting on it. For example, we didn't bore the engine to the max, because we are going to put a 4 bbl Holley 670 CFM street avenger carb on it along with a few other things that will give us all the power we need.

When building a vehicle you shouldn't just go out and buy what you can and call it a day, do the research, find out what is the best combo for your needs etc. Look at the engines, the carbs, the air intake, etc. Find out what combo is the best for your needs in the vehicle.

It is not as fast... you're wrong as always. Maybe you should move back to the Introduce Yourself section, it probably will be easiest for you. Also the only reason that piece of crap is cheaper is because it will only last 6 months. lol

You will never get the chance to drive an M5 but boy if you do... all i'll say is it will make you finally shut your mouth about this whole car conflict.

What drugs are you on man? A Camaro Zl1 is significantly faster than a BMW M5... Beats it by around .4 seconds in 0-60 and about .8 seconds in a quarter mile, with half the MSRP...
I know you're probably going to say something about a track though, but even a Camaro Z28 is significantly less and would dominate any BMW on any track... Also the Camaro's are incredibly reliable and relatively easy to work on. Whereas BMWs have the same reliability, but are much much harder to work on.

OP, I personally favor LS3 as it has so much potential. There's twin turbo kits and supercharger kits available, and the engine itself is a cheaper crate engine.

My favorite engine would have to be either the 4BT Cummins, 1kz-te, or the 22re-t.

Oh man if you got your hands on a good ol 426 Hemi, that'll make your Monte Carlo rumble.

But im no engine wiki on what fits and what doesnt and everything.

Good car choice btw.

I'd get a 454 Big Block if it was my car, let that thing roar, while setting off car alarms and making children cry...

My favorite engine has to be a Cosworth engine.

Hopefully fitting one in my mk1 ford fiesta when I get the money
