Do you mean that you have attempted to use it and it was rejected during activation? Any Windows 7 key will be accepted during install and it will only be checked against the database during activation.

My dad knows this guy who got a key for me, but last time I talked to microsoft or whatever to figure out how many more times I could use my key they said, 1 more time, which I used when I got windows 10.. but are you saying even tho I'm gonna get an SSD, even tho the person said I had 1 time, (now 0) it will still work cuz its the same parts except for an SSD?

Usually aslong as the key isn't being used right now on a system you will be able to use it again.

Yes, the 850 Evo is a solid SSD that will be well worth the money.
However if you wanted to save a bit of cash then the BX200, Plextor M6s and some OCZ SSD's are all good and a bit cheaper.

I've heard people get more activation times on their keys if they ask the microsoft people since it was a faulty part.. idk ive heard that from a few people.

Yes you certainly can call Microsoft especially if when you enter the key it asks you to phone their activation number with a specific code on screen.
