Once I buy my new car I will be going to the gym 3/4 days a week and carry on with my diet and walking. I hope to do the 3 peaks challenge again in the UK. I did it back in 2010 and is my proudest achievement.

Nice man. I've never heard of the 3 Peaks Challenge - what's it all about? Sounds like you've got a solid routine for keeping a steady lifestyle. Nice ;) I go to the gym basically everyday for a solid 2 hours each time. I target a different muscle group each time I go, allowing the muscle to repair when I'm doing something else

Not too sure if I should be proud or not but I'm on like a 30+ day streak with the gym - I love it, I love it, I love it!! Doing chest and back are my favourites. What is your favourite muscle group(s) to target?
If I was you cut down to 6 days a week bud. Allowing a full day of rest if probably better for tissue repair rather than when you are just at home sleeping.
The 3 peaks challenge is either in Yorkshire which you basically climb 3 of the biggest areas of Yorkshire. any one who can walk a few miles can do it really but 3 peaks UK is the 3 main peaks in the UK.
These are:
Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m)
My family are in the military and do it every year but I have took a big break from it.
But This year I am working towards doing it in a solid time.
You can do this challenge either with a self organised group or with a company whom organise it for you and will help you raise funds if doing it for a charity.
I must say it is one of the bes things to do if you want to challenge yourself.
BJP
Yea man, sounds difficult - would be good to do something like that for charity. Also, Sunday is my rest day but usually on a Sunday, I just get too bored then pop along to the gym for some cardio or stretches. Or finish something that I never done well enough throughout the week, if that makes sense.
Imma read up on the 3 peaks challenge, sounds legit ;)

Been going to the gym for just over a month now. Currently going 4 times a week but I feel like stepping it up to 5 times.

That sounds about right.
I know when my dad and some of his regiment do it they usually carry 20kg+ and the loser buys a round of pints at the end of it.
If people want to take up a sport to lose weight I highly recommend squash. It is one of the most explosive exercises that I know.

Haha, yea - that would be difficult, VERY difficult. A the gym I was doing dips (for my triceps) and I put a 20kg on my belt while I was doing that. Jeezo that was hard.

At your gym, does it have grassy areas or do you play inside? Just curious.
