Okay so I was meant to be paid on the 30th of Sept by work and I am STILL NOT PAID, they have not given me a valid reason in why they have still not paid anyone. I am currently at work as we speak, but until I am paid I will not be doing any work!
Is this illegal?
Thanks!

Go to your boss and tell him to give you a valid reason why you haven't been paid on the date you should have. If you have a bank account get a copy of your latest bank statement as a proof that you not trying to bs him/her. If your boss wont tell you why you haven't been paid as you said don't do any work coz you ain't there for free.

yes
Under federal laws a workplace or employer with a promising paying job can NOT hold your pay back.
if you can get a valid statement from your bank and you can PROVE that you have not received your payment, you can start a small case but that is never the best idea.
if he doesn't pay you after the valid statement.
a. quit
b. court case for fraud or unpaid work at a paying workplace.

It depends on your pay schedule. I get paid every two weeks so I still haven't got paid for working on September 30th

Please confront your boss asap, i had this issue with my last employers. Every time i asked they said it was just their bank. I went a month with out pay so i just left and luckily in Australia we have people to help us if our employers are not paying us , in the end i got my money and the business i worked at closed down 3 months later. But this is a rare case of course just ask your boss and he will sort it out most likely.

It's only illegal if you don't get paid bi-weekly.

Go to work, clock in, then petition or protest for you pay rather than actually working.

Of course it is, you should get paid whatever you do as a job. Ask your manger why this is happening. I'd be pissed why I wouldn't get paid when I do work free hours of my time. My job pays out weekly because they don't do cash in hand. Tax reasons.. That's weird man.

Like everyone else here has said, ask your manager or boss why you have not been paid and if it is a corporate company, contact them. If that does not work contact your local authorities and they should take care of it from there.
