I am very aware of that they are two different countries. And I am informed because I know people were currently in Syria training rebel forces. It has been proven that s it has been proven that assad has executed civilians for failing to leave the city. It's pretty damn clear that she has used chemical weapons against civilians it's pretty damn clear that he has used chemical weapons against civilians because the rebels have not used chemical weapons because they are not in possession of chemical weapons. Do you not remember that video that was posted online about five or six years ago of Syrian forces shooting and killing 20 people inside of a village. The rebels are saying Assad is using Chemical Weapons, the recurring instances of children and civilians being treated for Chemical related injuries.. Everyone knows Russia supplies Syria with the Chemical Weapons so it would ultimately be foolish to dismiss any accusation of the Government using such weapons when there's so many people against them!

That's true, but the US has access to white phosphorous, it's not strictly speaking illegal, despite being a chemical weapon, but it's use is prohibited in civilian areas - and civilians as well as human rights organisations have accused the US-led coalition of using white phosphorous in Raqqa, an area which is still home to thousands of civilians.

So are we basing the idea that the Syrian Government is as bad as ISIS on the accusations that they used chemical weapons on civilian populations?

Let me give you some information. I have been personally watching this conflict and searching information/reading doing my own research since the war started. Not on a daily bases, every now and then type thing. Because learning from other countries this same problem has occured in i was curious to find out what is going on. Are they really all that bad dictators? Or what is really going on here was my main concern of finding out. Now i am not saying Assad or Qaddafi are angels they arent no one perfect. But as far as Iraq goes and Libya if their leaders were still alive half of this shit wouldn't be happening, extremist wouldn't have gone this far. How many terrorist attacks were in Iraq when Saddam was in power? Now tell me how many terrorist attacks are happening in Iraq daily? Did we really go to Iraq and try to bring democracy and peace and to find WMD, that we still have not yet found. Yet we helped Iraq GAS iran... But we were worried about iraq having WMD?

Now to enlighten you on Syria. Its a proxy war with NATO and some other middle eastern countries all stirring the pot. Assad isn't a dictator. See with iraq and in the past we would invade countries right? By sending our troops on the ground. But now its different. Basically instead of sending our soliders to fight, the "globalist" "elites" whatever you wanna call them have a new strategy of taking over countries. They pay and train terrorist AKA "REBELS" to do the dirty work for them and so that by calling them rebels it makes USA/ALLIES look like the good guys and the public wont worry about funding them. Please look at syria before and after war. It was a secular democracy. All religions living in peace. The west stirred up anti Assad riots and basically caused the civil war. Then america decided to fund terrorist which they refer to as "rebels" but you do know half of the "rebels" are foreign right? they arent Syrian which prooves majority of the syrians love their president. But onto the fact those rebels came from other terrorist groups like Al Queada etc and called themselves 'FSA" so the public wont be worried. How did assad win his election in 2014 if he is a dictator?
Sorry but USA illegally attacked syria and continues to do so. All while providing no proof that Assad used chemical weapons.

Also, this proposed US support for Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war is as circumstantial and unproven as the accusations that the Syrian Government is using chemical weapons.

The US never sold arms directly to Iraq during this period. They provided economic aid, military intelligence, and technology, but compared to countries like Russia their contribution to this war effort was near enough non-existent. France, China, Poland and Brazil all provided Iraq with more armaments than the US during this period.

And let's not act like Iran was innocent with their support of insurgencies by the likes of Hezbollah.

On topic, I highly doubt Russia will do anything about our planes, they didn't even do anything to Turkey when they shot down their plane.

It's just odd that only we can violate International Law. World would probably be a better place otherwise.

You're right Aced Btw being in the 'military' doesn't mean anything, I'm in the military myself. The US is in Syria illegally and they are with the kurd/rebel building illegal air base and downing the air force from that country that they are not even allow to be in thats just sad.The problem with the chemical attack is that they have 0 proof.
