OV3RL0RD wrote well it seems to be a CESEAR CODE because it's composed of series of 5 lettres the only probleme is that the solution to decrypt it is to find the "shift"
Brute forcing shifts 1-25 does nothing so I'm pretty sure that it's not caesar cipher. I was thinking book cipher but I'm not getting anywhere with that either based on a paragraph we are supposed to know. I tried translating it forwards and backwards. Couldn't find anything.

I have received a part of the plaintext to the cipher and it is "pepper" but I am still struggling to decode this one. Could anyone offer some assistance?

It's something like strayed away thing that was going around i could decrypt it but would take me sometime is that all the letters exactly?

That is all the letters exactly. And the plaintext portion of the encrypted message is "pepper"
I've tried quite a few different polyalphabetic codes with little luck
