Hi , i'm having issues with DNS error on my RGH.
How I'm trying to connect - Ethernet Cable , I can't try wireless atm as I don't have a wifi adapter . My RGH is an Phat jasper. On my other RGH I can connect fine with the Ethernet cable.
Stealth Server : xbOnline.
I restarted my modem/router for 5-10mins , went into network settings factory reset. The DNS is the same as my other RGH and Computers one.

I know it's silly but check your dashlaunch settings and make sure liveblock etc is off, every time I run a new kv I forget that. You don't need to reboot when you turn liveblock off although sometimes your console will freeze if you don't.
Also you may need to port forward. I went to 10.0.0.1, for my Comcast internet (could be different for other isp's), turn on DMZ, make sure the right ports are forwarded for your Xbox's IP, and set put in your device's IP anywhere it asks you related to that. Turn on parental controls/allow all devices on network, specify your consoles IP if needed.
Those two things worked for me and I am on my phone or else I'd provide more info. A google search with some of what I mentioned will provide the rest of the info, that worked for me at least!

Okay thank you , that's what I'm already doing with my other RGH. If I remember I could only connect wirelessly on this rgh not Ethernet. Only had issues when trying to connect on Ethernet, I'llk give that a try .
Thanks for your help.

Firstly, make sure you've redeemed your xbOnline token, otherwise xbOnline will purposely block you from establishing a successful connection to Xbox Live.
Sort of following on from what Hear mentioned, I've personally had issues myself when connecting, and although I haven't had to port forward my consoles specific IP address, I have had to change my consoles DNS settings manually on the Dashboard and use OpenDNS DNS servers. I've found this to be quite helpful, especially with servers such as xbo & ninja.
Use the following:
Primary: 208.67.222.222
Secondary: 208.67.220.220
Also as a further check, make sure you don't have a USB or External Storage Device in your console, as once you boot the console up, it will load any launch.ini on that as a priority over your HDD launch.ini.

Your dashlaunch is definetely blocking connection, the photo above makes it clear.
If you have Teamviewer and the Xbox SDK (Neighborhood) I can take a look.

Nah it's my internet. If I remember for this xbox I always had issues on Ethernet for some reason. But I could connect fine with wifi . Even with live block and live strong disabled still says the same thing. For xbOnline you enabled live block and live strong as the server automatically disables for you.
Thanks for your help though.

tty switching lan port on router. or else consider checking your router lan or wan settings (not sure which one is the wired between wan or lan)

Try these
If you're sure it's you're router
Try run a VPN wired or wireless, and see if you can connect if not then try theae
Try resetting both networks on you're RGH and PC
Make sure liveblock and livestrong are enabled (try them disabled as well, sounds weird because they're meant to be enabled but mine doesn't work when mine is enabled)
Try a different server ( free ) Not common to happen but it's caused a few problems with me where the server was a bit sketchy ( worth a try)
