Sorry I know this isn't the best place to ask medical questions but I got glandular fever 2 weeks ago and recovered from it a few days ago but it is supposed to affect your liver in some way or another and my pal is having his 18th tomorrow and is having a big party. Does anyone who may have had this or have any idea know if I would be safe to drink alcohol?

Stay away from any types of drugs/alcohol until you speak to a doctor. It may not be a serious issue, but I'd still get it checked out. Alcohol would make the issue way worse, especially if it is affecting your liver.

I don't think this is the place to ask, like you've said. There's been many posts like this before with different illnesses or symptoms, the result is always 99% of the community telling you to see a doctor.

So go see a doctor, and drinking alcohol is not good for you in the first place so it's probably safe to stay away and be a DD for your buddies.

Listen man if you feel fine and recovered from the fever you'll be okay, don't get shit faced and never try to get advise from this site for medical issues lol.

While everyone is telling you to see a doctor I believe you'll probably be fine dude in all honesty you're probably overthinking. No it's not bad to be concerned about your health but with this in mind just don't get to drunk don't strain your body to the point where it could be a problem.

Don't mix you liquors either and maybe use a chaser with it and you'll pull through bud. I gotta agree with joey you really do only live once and if you take risks in life it only adds to the thrill.

Have fun OP and stay safe maybe get back to us in the forum after the party and let us know how it went I'd be interested to hear if any cool stories pop up from it!

Lizard hit it best man hit up your doctor. Just from a preliminary guess however I'd eer on the side of caution and stay away from the alcohol for the time being.

I would just take it easy and if you don't feel like your getting sicker the more you drink, then I think you'd be good.
Just be careful buddy!
