My favorite mod was a new exhaust. Fixed a problem I was having and made my Jeep sound nicer/more distinct.

Usability has to be mirrors, the stock mirrors had tiny convex mirrors for such a large truck so those got swapped right away.
Performance wise it's definitely the tuner. A tuner on a diesel goes a LONG way, in my case it's supposed to be 150 HP.
Yeah that sounds like a good mod. Love a tuned diesel car too

It's all personal preference.. but me personally I'd start with an exhaust. "Best" vehicle mod for me would be a Turbo.. unless it comes stock with a turbo, then I'd still get an exhaust haha. I'll try to do the exterior first, make it look nice, and make it mine. Then I'd upgrade internals, do most bolt ons afterwards.
