My Duramax MIGHT be able to keep up with an EFI tune, but i'm not even sure at that. |

I know nothing about trucks. So what is the best truck under $12k? I might get a truck next so I need some input!
Thanks. |

BigWes wrote I know nothing about trucks. So what is the best truck under $12k? I might get a truck next so I need some input! Depends on the motor and if you're going to be towing trailers and stuff. You can get any gmc (chevy)/ford/dodge 2500 that's about 10 years old and a GAS Motor for under 12. Just from personal experience, i'd go with gm. body's dont rot like dodge/ford, have good engines that aren't notorious for gas guzzling (hemi), or breaking (any ford, haha.) And they're just a proven truck. if you're going to be towing regularly, definitly get a 2500. If just using it for other things where you wont need to tow 12k lbs around, just get a 1500. edit: here's a good place to start. truckpaper.com/list/list.aspx?bca...rch=Search |

I also would like to go in the woods ect. with the truck(If I decide to get one). It will mainly be a daily driver and very rarely putting any strain on it. |

Than any gm/chevy 1500 with a 5.3 vortec v8 would do just fine. Can get them (depending on features like extended cab, leather seats, etc.) for around 6-8k. |
