RoyaI wroteFIetchyy wrote Here's a quote from Roy Keane on the subject of Manchester United fans "To be honest I never cared much for Manchester United fans. For the most part they're clueless glory hunters, trying to add a sense of accomplishment to their own pointless lives by jumping on the bandwagon of a successful sporting club, in many cases on the other side of the world".
I could also rant on about what was thought of the kids that did Maths A Level at my old school. Not everyone who does PE is a ****. Since when has a hatred for fans a hatred of the club. He openly talks about how he wants United to do well, and would love to see them return to their former glory. Do you not listen to a word the man says in his post match analysis and pretty much all his punditry? Personally, I'm not sure why you felt you had to take a day to go find another meaningless piece of trivia that doesn't help your argument whatsoever. P.S - Regarding saying not everyone who does P.E. is a **** - if you had read carefully, I didn't call you a **** for doing P.E, I said I'd not tell you what most people at my school thought of the P.E. kids at the risk of being a ****. However, please do tell me what you guys thought of people who did maths! It oughta provide me with a few laughs! |

Type in "Roy Keane on Manchester United fans" and the quote is the first thing that appears. There's a difference between wishing a team well and supporting them. For example, I like Tottenham, and wish that they do well domestically and in Europe. I like West Brom, I hope that they do well domestically. I don't support either of the clubs, I only wish for the best. The maths students were rather strange. I don't think I would be allowed to say, some of the things that happened are rather vulgar. |

So I'm not sure why you're typing 'Roy Keane on Manchester United fans" into any search engine. Brilliant, but did you play for and captain Tottenham...? I think this is a bit different to me saying, "Hey I don't mind Palace, I hope they do well!" |

If he has this view on the fans, he must have an even bitter viewpoint on the infrastructure of the club, even more so now because Sir Ferguson is apart of it. No, but I have a good friend in Tottenham's academy. |

Rooney - sitting in midfield and has 10 goals. Costa - poacher and has 17 goals So to say that Rooney who was 20-30 goal a season striker wouldn't be competing for the golden boot is absolutely hilarious. Do yourself a favour completedesigns think before you type, as you look silly. |

360MoTioN wroteGnaders wrote360MoTioN wroteGnaders wrote360MoTioN wroteFIetchyy wrote Yes I also agree the team he left was a bad team. But not winning the league again? That's the most outrageous, pathetic and completely wrong thing I've heard in the Football lounge. If you honestly believe he wouldn't of won again then you no absolutely nothing about Alex Ferguson, United and generally just football. How many years do you think SAF could of stayed at United to win the league? Fact of the matter is whenever Jose Mourinho ( who I hate btw ) was in the league Chelsea won the league comfortably, again this season. Man United wouldn't of won it last year, Liverpool, City, Arsenal and Chelsea were far much stronger than the year before. Chelsea are walking away with it this season. Man United's team needed a lot of reinvestment, he saw that and left to go out on a high, it's only people with no football knowledge that doesn't acknowledge that. He told RVP that he would stay another 3 years when he signed him and retired after one season when he won the league, ask yourself why he done that? Watch these 2 videos, this guy predicted SAF would retire before he did, for the same reasons I mentioned, he predicted Man United would decline and Moyes would of taken the shit for SAF's piss poor team because people would say "they were champions when SAF was in charge", SAF knew what he was doing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_7sj5gL31Y www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO_9Nirr08g |

He may wish the fans would change their views/behaviour or whatever he dislikes about them, and he may not want Sir Alex working within the club, however, what happens when SAF is eventually gone? Will he still supposedly hate United? No. Just please get your head round the fact that you can dislike features of a club while still supporting the club as a team. |

Let's not forget that the club completely abandoned him, you can't just disregard memories/events like that, even if Sir Ferguson leaves, he'll still dislike certain aspects of the club; the fans, the infrastructure. He may have a mutual respect for the club, I certainly believe that he does not support the club. I've read his autobiography, he has an open hatred for most aspects of the club. The fans don't even want him affiliated with the club anymore, after the rude remarks he made of them. |
