TaigaAisaka wroteEthereum wrote I recently traveled to visit family down south in Alabama (insert Alabama jokes here). When i was talking to my uncle about firearms and the rules down here he informed me if he went to a gun store or Walmart and bought in bulk it would be an immediate call to the local sheriff. I don't know why really but I like Federation live in New England and i can order any amount of ammo and be completely fine with no police visits or questions. I feel that we in the US have let them get out of control. There are so many everywhere. I think semi-auto rifles need to go for the most part. Even some pistols since you can slap a hundred round drum on them. They need to be more scarce. Every gun made by a manufacturer was legally owned at some point, until the person sold them off to someone they shouldn't, they got stolen, they were mishandled, or the person with them went crazy. Access to them is just too easy, whether legally or illegally. There needs to be significantly less of them. The idea that not only are there people out there that want to kill one or multiple people, but then you have an easy accessible item that grants them the ability to kill dozens within a minute. It's absurd. You can end someone's life just by standing across the room and pulling a trigger. That is crazy. |

I love guns. Shoot them all the time but don't own one yet (live in California, too lazy). I think humans would have been gone long ago if it weren't for guns.
If you're against guns because "they" kill people. Then, with that logic, you must be against pencils because they make people illiterate. Also, if you're European, you have no right to say anything about our gun laws. You have yours, we have ours. |

I do, which is why we need to not let these people have easy access to these convenient killing machines. Only hating the individual and ignoring how many guns we have out there isn't going to help our situation like other countries have helped theirs. |

Ohgeesy wroteAgreed 100% with that man true shit!TTG_ONLINER_69ER wroteTTG_ONLINER_69ER wrote Being an American, living in a rural area where we aren't even on most U.S maps, guns are our culture here. Family time is hunting, going to the range, going to camp or a place in the woods and just target shooting. I believe the Bill of Rights was written for a protected future. I believe any armament the police can have should be civilian accessible. All gun laws are infringements. Why should I be considered a criminal because I like something that liberal media hates? Just because I own an 'AR-15' doesn't mean i'm a threat, it means I have a tool for a specific job. You wouldn't use a hammer to cut wood. You wouldn't use a bolt action rifle on a pack of coyotes harassing livestock and destroying your property. In my mind, people who dislike guns and know NOTHING about firearms shouldn't speak. I don't go around giving my opinions on climate change because i'm not as informed and I shouldn't rely on media to tell me how to feel. People need to do their own research and stop relying on emotions. If this really is an issue of people getting killed, alcohol, tobacco, cars, and heavy machinery would already all be banned. The laws already set in place do fine on background checks, at-least here. You can't walk out with a gun the same day you buy it, and buying a pistol is a process in itself which is even more of a hassle. There is no gun show loophole, there never has been. You CAN NOT avoid a background check unless you are buying a firearm illegally or purchasing from a private party. But even then for specific ones, you still have to submit a background check before you sell your weapon to your son.And to follow up, i believe schools should offer a gun safety class or a firearms related class, doesn't need to be required but it hurts that people are so ill informed. Does this sound crazy? My sister had to take a MANDATORY archery class for gym and she's 10. Opening day of deer hunting season is a holiday here, and you get the day off from school/work. I know elementary grade kids with more firearm knowledge than any msn anchor. |

If you have a kid It would make you want one more to protect them that much more, not everyone who owns one is an idiot. Not just have a safe but a fingerprint sensor on it as well, and other measures. Teach your kids not just to be afraid of them but give them a sense of how to use one In an emergency, don't give them the code to the safe but If they ever have to use It teach them properly how to use it. It's a tool in the right hands and a weapon in the wrong hands. |

No such thing as an assault rifle. Right there with the words you said "military grade" means you're looking at rifles by their looks and what you think is military and scary. AR15 and Mini 14 are the exact same type of rifle in almost every which way, yet no one would assume the Mini 14 would be seen as "scary military assault rifle" because it looks like something a hunter would carry. 2. No such thing as a sniper rifle. Sniper's rifle, is a rifle belonging to someone in the sniper/marksman field. Rifle/long barreled rifle is the name. 3. 9mm is not enough. Anyone on even the slightest bit of adrenaline can take multiple 9mm shots with ease. 4. Using kids works against your argument, if you have kids that you would go to the ends of the earth to protect, you're going to do exactly that. 5. If you're a dipshit that can't function to have a gun around a kid in terms of proper storage and safety, said person probably shouldn't have been allowed to take off the condom to begin with. |

It's good that weapons are illegal in Quebec, because I would have killed people for sure |
