Aaaaand we're in for round 2 on the trans... The new torque converter wasn't working properly along with a couple other little things so we're back to tearing down the trans. While we're in there we are deleting the thermostat so it won't get so hot. Being on 37's the trans temp likes to be around 175 but it should be down around 150-155. We also welded a piece that's just pressure fit so we know it won't come loose. The EPC solenoid was replaced last time, while we're in this time we are doing the direct drive solenoid as well. Anyway, here's some pics of it while it's torn apart.
While the truck was in the air we noticed a little issue with the brake lines so we will be replacing these lol. Definitely getting longer lines, I'm not sure which ones yet or if I'll do the stainless braided ones, still doing research on that. |

This wasn't part of the plan, BUT I did find a pretty nasty looking bumper on Facebook for free so I had to grab it. Put some work into it and now it's on the truck lol. Never was thinking about a rear bumper but I am trying to get rid of all the chrome so this fit the bill.
Getting the dent out was relatively easy, and repainting it was a breeze. Honestly if you guys are scared of painting, get the Duplicolor color match stuff at Autozone / O'reillys. It's super easy and as long as you prep it good them it turns out good, I did my grill and now my bumper with spray paint and I don't think anyone would know the difference. Bumper when I first bought it https://i.imgur.com/qMHjA9a.jpg Currently https://i.imgur.com/TpIOhFV.jpg I'm not sure what's coming next, I've just been doing a bunch of maintenance on the truck. I replaced the cam positioning sensor, replaced the rear brakes, did the brake lines, cleaned the air filter, replaced the wheel bearings, and did some odds and ends. Right now the truck is getting pretty close to done, I just need to replace the steering gear box, passenger side U joint and I'd like to get a nice front bumper (and rear bumper even though I just got one lol), and get a new interior. After that though all the repairs and the mods that I want to do are done. New hub https://i.imgur.com/27yeONo.jpg New brake lines (all are red now) https://i.imgur.com/I3SujVq.jpg |

I know what I said in the last post and technically this isn't a mod lol but the deal was too good to pass up. I took the canopy off and bought a tonneau cover.

Glad you got another truck! Those 6.0's are great trucks but once you start nodding them, they start breaking a lot of stuff. My buddy had one and upgraded the turbo, and thing would roll out!! |

I thought I posted this but I guess not. I buckled down and got the red CAC tube for the turbo. Other than that it's just been doing maintinence, I changed the front and rear diff fluid, did the brake fluid a month or 2 ago, and now I just have to figure out my ABS issue (I think my new hydroboost is bad), do the U-joint on the passenger side, get a new steering gear box, and new tires. That'll set me back at least $3k-$3,500 for all that lol.
Speaking of things setting me back, the battery in the Prius decided to quit. Not the little one, but the big one. That costed me $2,100 and I did the labor myself lol, I don't even want to know how much a dealer would've wanted. I did get the battery from the dealer though. |

That's a good looking truck. I personally am not a ford guy but I appreciate their trucks. |

You have another truck since I last logged in!
Looks really good, I really like how beefy it looks with the canopy on the back.. Wish these trucks wouldn't look so out of place in the UK. |
