AK wrote So i got a message from a member asking do I know a certain person as he had scammed him $220. This frustrates me more than anything as well as I'm sure many others.

Upon conversation he thought he could trust him as he had a lot of rep and was semi known on TTG which seems to be how peoples trust is gained. The user sent $220 Friends and Family and ended up losing it as the seller vanished.

In the end i had $150 in my paypal and i sent it to him because it frustrated me that much , It isn't the total amount however he will now be only at a loss of $70 which is a lot easier than trying to work hard to claw back $220.

I will not name either user as i know admin is dealing with this however i do fell this is a lesson. Lesson to be learn that no matter what you cant trust someone over the internet and unfortunately in real life this is a lesson also.

Thanks for reading my post isn't about me being generous and sending him nearly all the money as a goodwill gesture this is about being careful and think before you act.

Paying it Forward!! Not just that you felt bad and don't even question your thought of being generous. You felt it was wrong for someone to do this to someone else. Huge congrats to you for thinking of others

Keep up the good work

Your right I thought how can someone do that to someone else take their hard earned money and vanish into thin air. Emotions that you feel when you see things like this happy is extraordinarily.

Hopefully my post will give people an eye opener to do research before sending money over the internet to strangers.

Ryx helped me out of a really awkward situation with cash a while ago. Shoutout to people like you who do this. People who take the piss like that deserve nothing.

Even down to the fact you're not naming and shaming goes to show you're honestly a really down to earth guy.

*insert another flirt message*

Hope you get it sorted man, or at least someone.

Thanks for sharing this, AK. This is definitely an eye opener to the reputation system we have here, and how rep should be taken with a grain of salt. It's also a harsh reminder of the way people can be. This is something we all need to hear every now and again, so thank you.

And you said it wasn't about this, but thanks for being such a good person and helping that guy out. We don't deserve you
