Should be as simple as changing your graphics settings in Warzone to run in Windowed and not fullscreen
broadcasting through GeForce Experience Interesting comment this. Do you always do this. Might be worth not doing this and seeing if it helps. I know it's better than crashing constantly but would be good to understand the root of the issue as my system specs should be well fit to cope with how demanding Warzone 2 is. Just struggling to understand what might be causing this as I never had this issue with the original Warzone and I've also not had this issue when Warzone 2/MW2 first dropped. This has only really been occurring since December time. After changing my power settings yesterday I managed to run a good few games more than usual however on my final game as I was about to shutdown for the night the PC black screened at the end of the lobby so looks like it did not fix my issue Thanks for the continued advice both - I'll have a look at the benchmarking tools you sent across Adam |

Thanks to everyone for the advice provided so far.
So I've tried most of the steps recommended above and have done a number of my own probably silly things but just to rule it out.
I updated some settings in the BIOS which was recommended elsewhere 4G Decoding/Resizable bar (this was supposed to reduce stuttering/lag/fps drops in Warzone which I had thought was maybe causing my pc to crash. I have updated my BIOS to the latest version. I have reverted the light overclocking that I had on my PC. All of this did not help sadly. So I have now tried running UserBenchmark - which is where this gets slightly more interesting. It appears when running this it is a guaranteed blackscreen every time once it hits the GPU test. I've read elsewhere that DisplayPort cables can cause this issue I'm skeptical about this but I will try this as well shortly and update if this makes any difference. But for now I am under the impression this is either a GPU or a PSU issue? |

Hi,
If the benchmark crashed on the GPU, it's possible that it could be causing the black screen or the power supply as the GPU may not be receiving the correct amount of power underload for example. Do you have a warranty on either of these parts or a spare you could test this with? |

I have warranty on all parts of the PC except the GPU
I purchased it used off of eBay - just annoying because it has worked perfectly up until the last few weeks. So I have done a major amount of digging and I really only have two options at this point. I can RMA the GPU however because I don't have proof of purchase they will only attempt to repair and if it can't be repaired they will not be offering a replacement. I can take it to my local PC specialist for a full diagnosis and if he determines it is the GPU he may be able to fix it for me. From what I am reading online with people experiencing similar issues it appears to be relating to the thermal paste on the GPU / thermal pads. I am siding with the second option as it means I don't have to pay to send off my GPU, wait weeks and find out they may not even fix it. And I can at-least get a full health check of my PC and ensure everything is set correctly in the BIOS. I will update the thread once I get further with this I am hoping to leave the PC in tomorrow to be looked at. Thanks once again for all the helpful replies |
