Looks like Podolski has finally moved on. He is a great footballer and hope he gets to prove himself there. It's a loan deal with an option to buy for 5m at the end of the season.

Sad to see him go, not sure there have been many players to have had as huge a left peg as his, but wish him the best at Inter! |

Have a lot of respect for Podolski as a player; hope Inter somewhat help recover his career |

I've been reading this in the news lately:
talksport.com/football/liverpool-...rs-instead This makes me laugh to be honest, more the supposed price tag, don't get me wrong, have every respect for Saido Berahino, but surely Liverpool needs to learn their lesson from just sourcing in English players.. I mean just look at some catastrophic examples - Downing, Lambert and who can forget 35 million Andy Carroll.. I'm not sure whether this is just a follow up to all the uproar from former English prem players complaining we aren't developing English talent by signing foreign players so freely - but surely when Liverpool currently have Lambert, Lallana, Gerrard, Henderson, Johnson etc they can afford to sign well-established players from Europe.. I for 23 Mill you are talking the sort of price tag you could expect for your Cavanis, Lavezzis and Draxlers. I mean this is just my opinion, don't support the Reds and don't really care what they do at the end of the day, but I don't know if theres method behind the madness or Rogers is really just that much of an idiot with his signings.. |

Liverpool have an English core and should look abroad for some talent (e.g. when they looked to the Netherlands for Suarez) I think Liverpool have some problems scouting players, either that or they have an active board decision to go exclusively for English players. |

Ridiculous, it's asking for failure with the premiums on British talent these days, especially when the bank of talent aren't particularly brilliant.
Time for them to be a little selfish and put club future over national team future |

Completely agree, would be nice to have a strong national side being 100% English myself, however just seems England are just looking for something to blame our poor sides on recently.. Need to sort the team out before jumping to conclusions that its because young talent isn't getting a look in |

Ridiculous to see the club take more responsibility than they should rather than run away from responsibility |

Can't really tell if they are just doing it to give the impression of hope for an upcoming squad or if it actually is a decent idea? :S |
