Currently looking to upgrade my pc.
I play warzone on 1440p and my monitor is 165hz. The reason for the upgrade is I'm only getting around 80 to 100fps on low settings. Current pc specs are.

Not saying to not upgrade but I do know Warzone's optimization is ass especially after all their updates. Lots of friends have great PC builds and still hover around the 100ish FPS. Sorry if this is obvious but if you haven't already, I would also check out some up to date Warzone customization settings to increase your FPS before upgrading. You might be able to get some decent FPS bumps just from tweaking some settings that are up to date with their new updates. |

Tried all the most recent tweeks from YouTube tutorials etc but didn't gain anything really. Dropping to 1080p does nothing to my for aswelll it's strange |

Maybe some other people might have some tips or advice on upgrading if they think it's worth it. |

GPU upgrade is definitely the first move. Lowering the settings and resolution just makes the CPU more of a bottleneck. Optimise your settings at 1440p. 750 quid will just about get you an RX 7900XT if you just want as much performance as you can get for that money. 4070Timwould be your NVidia alternative for the same price. Warzone performs better with AMD GPU's so a 7900XT will quite heavily out-perform a 4070Ti in that specific scenario. In fact, the 7900XT is about 10% faster than a 4080 in Warzone, 20-25% faster than the 4070Ti. If you were to go down the CPU upgrade route, then you'd be better off just buying an R7 5800X3D and staying on AM4 for now IMHO. Especially since a GPU upgrade is going to be far more beneficial. 5700X's have even been mega cheap recently and are a fairly reasonable upgrade for the price IF you really want to. If you don't want to spend your full budget on a GPU like the 7900XT or 4070Ti, then you could buy an RX 7800XT for 500 quid, and that even leaves you money to throw an R7 5800X3D into your current motherboard as well if you want. 7900XT with your current CPU is still going to give you the biggest gain but a 5800X3D + 7800XT should be good for around 120FPS @ 1440p ultra settings. Optimise settings a little and you should be in the 144-165FPS range. 7800XT is a little faster than a 4070Ti in Warzone for 2/3 of the price. |

21 wrote techspot.com/article/2579-cod-war...benchmark/ Hey man thanks for the input love the detail honestly thought my gpu was decent, so you say go for the rx 7900xt and I could sell my current gpu and put towards other parts what would you go for with the money I get for the 3070ti? |

CoD wants GPU. You'll want to buy a 4090 before you go to AM5. In order of price:
0. Monitor upgrade 1. GPU upgrade to 7900XTX/4080 or worse 2. GPU upgrade to 7900XTX/4080 and 5800X3D 3. GPU upgrade to 4090 4. GPU upgrade to 4090 and 5800X3D 5. GPU upgrade to 4090 and 5800X3D or better |

LYK wrote Hey man thanks for the input love the detail honestly thought my gpu was decent, so you say go for the rx 7900xt and I could sell my current gpu and put towards other parts what would you go for with the money I get for the 3070ti? Oh for sure a 3070Ti is definitely still a "decent" card. I'm still running a 2070 Super @ 1440p144Hz and it does the job for me. If you really want to crank settings and resolution at a high refresh rate on newer games though, then you need to pay. If you're happy to pay the price, then yeah I would say 7900XT is the way to go for as much performance as you can get in CoD. If you really want to stick with the NVidia feature set, it's probably worth waiting for RTX 40 Super GPU's to launch, but you'll be waiting a few months for those. I personally wouldn't feel confident investing in the current RTX 40 series, at least at current pricing. NVidia tend to shaft early adopters so I wouldn't be surprised if the Super refresh ends up giving us some pretty good value options from NVidia. It is NVidia though, so who knows lmao. I haven't been keeping up with the used market recently so I have no idea how much 3070Ti's are going for. I'd imagine at the very least, it would give you enough money to buy an R7 5700x. 5700x or 5800x3D are definitely the way to go for a CPU upgrade IMO. I'd personally recommend just going for the 5800x3D if you can spend the extra, especially if you're pairing it with a 7900XT anyway lol, but the 5700x will still be absolutely fine. |
