For the past week, the world has been caught up in the global phenomenon of Pokemon Go, with the mobile app motivating players to get out and catch Pokemon in their surroundings, with T-Mobile having now stepped in to provide some appealing offers to new customers.

In a press release, T-Mobile announced that starting on July 19th, the mobile carrier will be offering one year of free, unlimited data for players of Pokemon Go for the app to not contribute to players’ data count (through August 2017).

Along with the free data, T-Mobile is also offering other benefits to potential new customers (and current ones) such as free Lyft rides (up to $15) to help players get to new PokeStop locations or Gyms, free Frosty drinks at Wendy’s, and 50% off select mobile accessories, including external phone chargers and more at T-Mobile locations.

T-Mobile will also be hosting various giveaways related to the game, with the carrier to be giving out $100 of in-game PokeCoins to 250 winners, and five winners will receive a Pokemon Go hunting trip anywhere in the US for themselves and a guest.

A statement from T-Mobile President and CEO John Legere explained more on the company’s initiative to feed in to the Pokemon Go craze:

“This is what T-Mobile Tuesday is all about – thanking customers with hot, new, totally free gifts every week, and right now, nothing is hotter than Pokémon Go! With the carriers’ shared data schemes, players could easily burn up the family’s data bucket – and then, hello, overages! At T-Mobile, we’re unleashing Pokémon Go so our customers can play free for a year. It’s gonna be a fantastic T-Mobile Tuesday!”
