Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare UK sales down almost 50% on Black Ops 3

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare released last week and the reviews haven’t been too shabby.

So it’s a bit of a surprise to see that sales of Infinite Warfare in the UK are down 48.4% compared to last year’s Black Ops 3 launch. The latter did have the benefit of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 to bump its numbers, but accounting for the extra platforms, sales are still down by almost 44% according to Gfk Chart Tracker.

Whether the drop in numbers is down to disgruntled players who have jumped ship with the introduction of what some might call a pay-to-win multiplayer model, or just simply fatigue with the series is anyone’s guess, but the title still managed to debut at the top of the charts.

Battlefield 1 dropped down to no. 2, followed by FIFA 17 and Skyrim. You can check out this week’s top 10 titles below.

Sales are 50% down but it still outsold BF1. Great banter that.

This is a clear message to activision that they **** up really bad. The only reason they earned a bit of money is because of MW remaster. Tried a couple games of IW and its awful.

This is not surprising what so ever, I have played it once since it's been out, The remaster was the main reason or the only reason I got the game.

well of course, we saw this coming about 2 months ago when we saw all the hate and people saying they wont pre-order/buy the game.

Oh damn really, that's a surprise there. I wouldn't be surprised if people traded their BO3 game for MWR/IW.

This doesn't surprise me at all I only know two people that actually liked the new game. The rest only bought it for MWR.

It's because the games trash honestly. If you're into the futuristic stuff they yea you'' like this game but if you're sick of it and want boots on the ground you won't enjoy Infinite Warefare.
I only bought this game for Cod4 Remastered, haven't touched IW since it came out the beta was such a disappointment.
