Is Phil Spencer teasing a major multiplayer game announcement at E3?

In a recent post to Twitter, Xbox Chief Phil Spencer hinted that an anticipated multiplayer game will be coming to the Xbox One in 2017.

The post from the head of Xbox came in response to an article by IGN, listing the outlet’s 10 most anticipated multiplayer games for 2017. With titles like Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands and For Honor already on the list, it makes us wonder—what does Spencer think will be more exciting?

We already know it won’t be a Halo or Gears of War title, as Spencer shot down any hopes of a release from those camps earlier this week. Our money is on giant, new IP announcement this summer at E3.

Zytio I can't think of anything except from those titles, unless it's MW2, from what people have said to me online, MW2 remastered is the most wanted thing, with only a few people talking to me about wanting Halo or GOW related content, maybe battlefield?


Battlefield already has a good thing going with BF1. Use the time difference from BF4 to hardline as an example, BF1 will be dice's focus for quite some time. I agree with the article, it's likely a completely new game
