When inquired about the new system’s capacity for native 4K gaming, Spencer’s response was unambiguously definitive.
This cleared up some confusion on the console side, and it was confirmed late last year that all first-party Microsoft titles launching in the “Scorpio time frame” will natively render at 4K. When a fan recently requested more information on the native 4K, Spencer expressed that he would rather the games simply speak for themselves.

Other recent Twitter posts by Spencer revealed that the system is coming along nicely and the executive is confident in its progress.@Kinhdrakk Honestly my focus is just on getting games ready to show and play. That will be the explanation. I'm confident in the results.

The Xbox One’s Project Scorpio doesn’t have an official release date, but it is expected to launch sometime in late 2017. Some of the system’s hardware specs are still under wraps, although a recent leak may offer some insight.
