Grand Theft Auto V dev offering up real cash to people who find bugs

4.2
Grand Theft Auto V developer Rockstar Games is upping the bounty by incentivizing fans to hunt down bugs in its web-based systems.

The developer is inviting hackers to seek out vulnerabilities in the company’s websites and online service domains for which the hackers will be financially compensated. The ad for the bounty program was posted to HackerOne, a platform for organization such programs.

Bounties begin at $150 and increase based on the severity of the discovery, with an average of $500 paid out among the 155 bounties completed so far. Over $90,000 in total has already been paid out to hackers. Payments are only made to those that are first to identify the issue and disclose the information exclusively to Rockstar.

The bounty program is limited to various Rockstar domains, such as rockstargames.com or socialclub.rockstargames.com, and does not directly involve Grand Theft Auto V or any game bugs there in. There is seemingly no end date to the program, so get hacking!
