Call of Duty Black Ops 2 backward compatibility player count passes 100,000

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 became backward compatible on Xbox One this week and already people are noticing the large influx of gamers on the multiplayer side. While we can verify that there are more than 135,000 gamers currently playing the title, we don't know how many there were before. According to numerous sources, the number was quite low at around 5,000 people.

Black Ops II is not the first Call of Duty game in the Xbox One backwards compatibility library. Others include Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World At War, and the original Black Ops.

If you still own the game, you’re good to go. For those who don’t, you can buy the digital version through the Spring Sale on the Xbox Store For 40% – 50% off depending on Xbox Live Gold status.

You already know it, same shit just on a different console.


Both MW2 and BO2 have been highly requested since the program launched. So none is "begging" for anything. As for what happened with black ops 1, kiddies ruined it with the stupid invisible glitch, or else lots more would play.

Im ecstatic that this is BC now. Just wished my brother did not reset my stats at sometime in the last 3 years.
