News hit earlier this week with confirmation that L.A. Noire would be getting a full release, including the title coming to the Nintendo Switch and VR platforms. This was exciting for Switch fans because the list of third party developers, including huge companies such as Rockstar Games, continues to grow with their additions to the Nintendo library. That being said, new listings have shown that for those looking forward to a physical copy of the game on the Switch, the price tag is a little higher.

The reason for the price increase is due to the production costs of Nintendo Switch games because of the cartridges used. Makes sense, but it also does encourage players to purchase the digital version of the game, because that code will be the same cost as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. For the Sony and Microsoft consoles, the full game will retail for $39.99, while the Nintendo Switch physical copy will run $10 more.

There are benefits to the Nintendo Switch port over other platforms. It has been confirmed that L.A. Noire will utilise the Switch's unique technology such as their HD rumble joy-con settings and the use of the touch screen. Pair that with the mobility option to don that detective hat on the go, and there are plenty of reasons why Nintendo owners have a solid experience to look forward to.
