Leading the charge to bring the near steering wheel-sized controller back to the Xbox One is Seamus Blackley, one of the designers of the original Xbox. Manufactured by Hyperkin, this nostalgic third-party controller—which is too large for most normal human hands—will have a limited release, but it’s just been officially approved by Xbox.

This new and improved version of the Duke leaves many of the original design features in place, including the large logo in the middle, the bulbous design, and additional black and white buttons if A, B, X, and Y aren’t cutting it. This new version, however, has some additional functionality. It sports new left and right bumpers, and that large logo in the middle is actually an animated screen that can be used to show additional information related to the game you’re playing. The gamepad is also compatible with Windows 10 devices.
The bulky new controller doesn’t have a release date yet, but judging by Blackley’s tweets, it’s drawing closer and closer to release. Since that release will supposedly be limited, be sure to keep an eye out for any future announcements.
