Call of Duty: WW2 Now Banning Players For Prestige Exploit

4.5
A new update for Call of Duty: WW2 just came out, and among other things, we know that it changes up how HQ mode works, while also implementing a new UI for the game’s multiplayer modes; however, that is not the only thing that it does. Apparently, the Prestige exploit for the game, which had been recently discovered, is now patched out.

Not only is it patched out, anyone who used it to exploit the game has also been banned temporarily, for a period of two days, which is something that the game’s director confirmed on Twitter, as well as a user on Reddit. Which, I think, is fair- it could have been a far harsher penalty. Two days for exploiting such a severe glitch is actually pretty lenient.

Call of Duty: WW2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC; as of right now, it is unclear whether the banes extend to the PC version of the game, which has not yet received the new update, too.

MrMw209 The thing i dont understand is people are punished for fixing there broken game if people didnt find exploits and upload then to youtube then the devs would have it so hard because there would be a ton of exploits its us the fans that bring the impovements and ui fixes etc so j think 2 days or more then fair enough not a permanant ban

Wow you are delusional. If there are any bugs, you contact the support team directly and SPECIFICALLY choose the "bug" issue. It's there for a reason. Are you seriously trying to justify what these people did; finding the exploit and uploading it and spreading it all over?

Also, having the glitch out there on Youtube does nothing for the devs, they're the ones who have to go within their games UI and fix it. If anything it just made their work harder by having to track all these dumbass kids cheating on the newest CALL OF DUTY title, which is a huge game and ban them.

You are wrong here. Submitting bugs to support does, to some small degree, lead to them getting fixed. However, having a bug blow up like this on YouTube, and other websites will lead to an instant fix of the bug.

Now, that being said using exploits should always result in a ban. People should be punished for them no matter what.

Uploading it to YouTube gets other people to exploit it. There is plenty of other ways to go under the table to report stuff like that, I.E going to their contact us. Might take a bit of time for them to start chatting, but once you start telling them you found XP exploits, they will listen(maybe)
