A number of developments today indicated that a Modern Warfare 3 reveal would be taking place next week. However, it doesn’t look like there will be any announcements after all. Geoff Keighley has received official word from Activision that there will be no Call of Duty reveals any time soon.

“Expecting a Call of Duty reveal next week? Spoke to Activision and they want to make very clear it’s not happening next week… I’m looking into this some more. Maybe it’s a publicity stunt by EA for Battlefield or another publisher? Anyone know more?” – Geoff Keighley Twitter

some of us saw this coming I mean do you guys really care so much for a game/ game franchise because to us that's all it is and what it always will be. Besides it was "expected" to be a single player reveal not multi player and the story to "mw2" was awful so you guys are just putting your own dicks in the dirt

because activision are the publishers and they are the ones that employ IW sledge hammer and raven
