Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will Boast 103 Different Stages

4.1
During today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate focused Nintendo Direct, director Masahiro Sakurai revealed new information regarding stages.

After showing a sizzle reel featuring dozens of stages from previous Smash Bros. games, Sakurai announced that the total number of stages included in Ultimate will reach 103. This is nearly double the previous high, that of Super Smash Bros. on Wii U which only had a little over 50 stages even with the inclusion of DLC stages. In addition, when you consider that each stage within the game can be transformed into their Battlefield or Omega forms, then the count reaches over 300. Crazy, right?

The only new stage that Sakurai revealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is that based off of New Donk City from last year’s release of Super Mario Odyssey. This stage joins the new The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Splatoon centered levels as the newest additions to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

This stage news follows that of both Simon and Richter Belmont joining the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate along with the addition of Chrom and Dark Samus as Echo Fighters. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is scheduled to launch on December 7, exclusively for Switch.
