Infinity Ward: Modern Warfare 3 post-launch support to be “major focus”

Modern Warfare 3 will not suffer from its predecessor's lack of post-launch support, Infinity Ward has insisted.

Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling tweeted that constant patches would be a top priority for the developer.

"That is a major focus of mine and the entire team since the feedback from Modern Warfare 2," Bowling wrote.

Infinity Ward will be looking to improve on the many updates required to aid Modern Warfare 2, which found itself casualty to a plague of post-launch problems.

Trophy errors, broken party invitations, the infamous Javelin missile patch, care package glitch and various online exploits all required fixing.

As recently as February this year a major patch was pushed live to try and counter player hacks affecting online play.

It comes as the studio were lambasted for not fixing multiplayer exploits and hacks quick enough with Modern Warfare 2 after its November 2009 release.

Modern Warfare 3 will launch on PS3, 360 and PC on November 8. The first full trailer for the game will air during the NBA Playoffs on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

ADKIc3mAnX As long as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 doesn't have Fake Scopes aka Quick Scopes, Commando Perk, OMA, Overpowered Noobtubes, Easy to use Snipers, and Kill from killstreak add for more Kill streaks it should be a Good game and Activision is smart they didn't let IW work on the Multiplayer since they made MW2 Hacker friendly

Treyarch is doing a great job in Black ops to protect the game and make it fair for people who actually have skill and are Legit.

Infinityward should follow in treyarchs footsteps
in keeping the game on an almost no glitch/hack state with updates and patches, so dont say there acting "GAY" or the games suck becouse u cant cheat becouse glitches are errors that were not even supposed to happen, same goes for hacks

they give tools to develop maps and what not, not to tamper with the game, the money you pay for is what is on the game not what you make of it, modding is just another term for lazy, **** play the game right and maybe it'll be even more fun, i find playing a game a challenge and gives me a reason to keep playing it, seeing **** modders online cheating pisses me off because it doesn't give me, who does have a **** skill in the game, a fair chance! People like you ruin the game reason why microsoft is soo up tight if you have the right to mod then why does microsoft nail everyone who does careful what you say cause I guarantee it that one day the gaming industry will fall, what will do then ain't nothing to mod or cheat! This goes to sports, you find it ok for someone to cheat in basketball, baseball, footbal, or soccer? No it's not ok so all of you can just stfu and play the **** game the way it was meant for, I hope IW and Activision are strict this time around and have keep a big ass dick shoved up your asses so that your constantly getting raped by their security team enough said! well if this game is going to be any more realistic than it better not because i know no snipers in the army navy of air force brackets that can put a 50.cal to their line of sight and shoot it off with 100% accuracy across a 100yard plain. just sayin :p
Yeah but the whole point, in my perspective, is to have fun and enjoy the game and quickscopes are one of those things that make me enjoy playing CoD. :)


there's more to it than just quick scoping not to mention the top game players in the world don't quick scope, and if you don't believe me go find out yourself... not to mention bad company 2 raped any game out there and i love how you can't quick scope or whatever in the game, i hope they rid it like treyarch did this will make it more interesting and have more skilled players rather than a *** who constantly shoots a sniper and then gets raped by a single shot fmj attached FAL to the head

im not going to lie,when I read the comment that said "im not buying it if theres not quick scoping" made me want to punch a baby in the face and burn it alive. The pure stupidity within that comment drove me mad for a few moments. But then I realized that half the call of duty players i run into online have an average IQ of 45. Look, thats like saying "if theres not kniving where I can slide from 50 ft away and kill my target without any form of skill, im not buying it." I personally hate how call of duty's snipers are online. There's honestly nothing realistic about it. I can understand its not possible to put the actual experience into online because thats ridicules. But they way its used online just pisses me off. So good, I hope they dont put it in the game and keep the people in the community like you out of it.
