Infinity Ward: Modern Warfare 3 post-launch support to be “major focus”

Modern Warfare 3 will not suffer from its predecessor's lack of post-launch support, Infinity Ward has insisted.

Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling tweeted that constant patches would be a top priority for the developer.

"That is a major focus of mine and the entire team since the feedback from Modern Warfare 2," Bowling wrote.

Infinity Ward will be looking to improve on the many updates required to aid Modern Warfare 2, which found itself casualty to a plague of post-launch problems.

Trophy errors, broken party invitations, the infamous Javelin missile patch, care package glitch and various online exploits all required fixing.

As recently as February this year a major patch was pushed live to try and counter player hacks affecting online play.

It comes as the studio were lambasted for not fixing multiplayer exploits and hacks quick enough with Modern Warfare 2 after its November 2009 release.

Modern Warfare 3 will launch on PS3, 360 and PC on November 8. The first full trailer for the game will air during the NBA Playoffs on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

Granted this site isn't all about mod/hacks but a lot of members indulge. Plus how have they been owned? I don't think you even understand your own pov.

I got 3 accounts banned from black Ops for doing the GPD Mod... the cod servers can tell if your stats are real or fake cause 1 of the accounts that did not get banned just got banned for no reason after playing for 20 min... i think cod has there own stats and if your stats don't match then your ****.

This game will see alot of exploits just like all COD games, but I can't see this game being modded or hacked in the same way as MW2. don't forget they hit a hard time at IW with there community manger and half there team getting sacked. But all we can do is wait and see.

the thing is, we dont care about patches to fix exploits, of course if there not gamin ruining, we want content and a new engine, better graphics, and less of the feeling we are invincible on single player, AND STOP KILLING OFF GOOD CHARACTERS! - new and better engine = better game, it shows with BFBC2 - BF3... i mean step uyp your game IW and the rest of the team, or your going to be be disappointing, AGAIN!

if you dont like Getting Reset then dont Boost or cheat! how can you be mad for being reset when you were the one who did something for them to do that.

i Hosted many lobbies on Mw2 becouse theres was no
saving it from jTags but when a game is like Black ops that they constantly patch everything
its better to not try to mod it and be legit to see how good you really are.

would you like it if all Cods were flooded with mods like WAW ? that game is un playable becouse theres a ton of hackers on there Flying with god mode, i myself got on waw and infected myself but thats just becouse its an old game, but i say keep the hacks on the old cods and be legit on the new ones

as for TTG_Baller look, ok you paid 60 for a game whatever now one thing is modding offline witch is ok but another thing is modding ONLINE where others are playing that Also bought that game, that dont even know what a jtag is, that play just for fun ECT...

just becouse you bought the game doesnt mean you can go ruin the ONLINE experience for Others that dont hack/Cheat.

TTG_Baller ivs been reset from black ops because they are ****** becuase i wasted 60 dollars on a peice of **** game that i get reset from I WILL NEVER BUY A TREYARCH GAME AGAIN!!! THEY ARE ****!!! I believe that people could do anything with a game that they paid fro I mean a majority of the players want modding UNDERSTAND ****!!!

Treyarch is doing a great job in Black ops to protect the game and make it fair for people who actually have skill and are Legit.

Infinityward should follow in treyarchs footsteps
in keeping the game on an almost no glitch/hack state with updates and patches, so dont say there acting "GAY" or the games suck becouse u cant cheat becouse glitches are errors that were not even supposed to happen, same goes for hacks
No cause no hacks no play now the definition for GAY is someone like u who dosnt wont mods and nags about how GREATTTT activision dose well they suck and ur 1 of the 50 out of billions who like activevision cause they reset people so yeah :)

ADKIc3mAnX As long as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 doesn't have Fake Scopes aka Quick Scopes, Commando Perk, OMA, Overpowered Noobtubes, Easy to use Snipers, and Kill from killstreak add for more Kill streaks it should be a Good game and Activision is smart they didn't let IW work on the Multiplayer since they made MW2 Hacker friendly

Noone wants a game like black-ops so how about you get off a modding site. and i bet everyone on here would like Quickscopes and cammando(To Trickshot) you know what forget this whole message they Need a Quickscopes gametype, im sick and tired of ppl like you killing me in mid air of trickshotting, or dropshoting when im quickscopeing. Nuff Said now go-away.
