Treyarch’s decision of removing quick scoping from the last CoD title – Black Ops didn’t really please fans of the series who had got into a habit of using it to their advantage during multi-player sessions. However, Infinity Ward doesn’t intend to follow on their footsteps and have hinted that the feature might make it to the final build of Modern Warfare 3. IW’s community manager Robert Bowling strongly hinted that quick-scoping might be retained for the title during a AMA (Ask Me Anything) session which he held over at Reddit.
“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn’t changed since MW2.”
This is good news if you’re fan of quick-scoping as it seems they intend on retaining it for Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3 releases this November for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
I didn't know you could run around in real life and quick scope with a Barret 50 Cal or a bolt action rifle. Oh wait. No body does that. Quick scoping is so over rated. If you want to quick scope stick to COD4 or MW2

Think about it ike this: You will happily take advantage of a submachine gun that is over powered?
But you hate on people doing the exact same thing with a different gun? I think it takes MORE skill to trickshot and quickscope that it does to empty the mag on a full auto and hopefuly hit your target.

I can quickscope and I think it is just cheep unless they are going to make bolt action snipers 2hits to kill then by all means put quickscoping in if not keep it out of the game as it's cheep shows nO skill at all just proves you are a noon that cannot play the game how it's ment to be Played a sniper is meant to be silent and deadly not rush abd quickscope/noscope in RL that would get you killed if they want to make a reallistic fps keep quickscope out of it

Well play Search with some friends instead of just jumping into a lobby when you can be team with anyone?
Personally,I'm happy to see it return as it makes being a Sniper actually fair.
Snipers have 1% chance of taking on shotguns or smg's at close range in Black Ops,QSing gives them a fair shot when running through a door to get in position for their next shots.
