Treyarch’s decision of removing quick scoping from the last CoD title – Black Ops didn’t really please fans of the series who had got into a habit of using it to their advantage during multi-player sessions. However, Infinity Ward doesn’t intend to follow on their footsteps and have hinted that the feature might make it to the final build of Modern Warfare 3. IW’s community manager Robert Bowling strongly hinted that quick-scoping might be retained for the title during a AMA (Ask Me Anything) session which he held over at Reddit.
“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn’t changed since MW2.”
This is good news if you’re fan of quick-scoping as it seems they intend on retaining it for Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3 releases this November for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
they should bring it back look how crap black ops was without it.. treyarch always ruin cod games... i'll go back to mw2 even cod4... but i'll never touch waw or black ops once mw3 releases.
I love how people cant really read. It says it might return, yet everybody is saying "OMFG YES I LOVE YOU IW!" And besides, there is no comfirmed bolt-action sniper yet, which means no quick scoping.
i hope they do bring it back cos i cant hardscope to save my life let alone 360ing, trickshoting etc... quickscoping is the only thing that i can do on a sniper let alone do good :P
YoungRebels omg thats so dumb it takes no skill in mw2 they need BO quickscoping, because everythinks they are amazing in mw2 but in BO where it takes skill they dont quickscope when its not that hard
BO doesn't take skill, it takes luck. I could see if they made it hard to do. But it literally throws off your shot. So no sir, you are incorrect.
Black Ops Is a spongey game therefore you need better accuracy. Therefore you need more skill!!!
I can't wait to see a team ruined by a qs'er going 5-18 just like MW2. All because some scrub wants to up and edit it all from theatre mode so they can show it to their boyfriends. This will be a bad decision to include qs'ing and MW3 will only end up having to spend time changing it if enough players consider it bad enough in the final version of the game.
