Battlefield 3 Dev Holds Longstanding Grudge Against Call of Duty

Battlefield 3 creator, Digital Illusions, has held a long standing grudge against the Call of Duty franchise, with Modern Warfare 3 squarely in their sights for this fall. Maybe it's because they believe that they make a better game, yet consumers tend to flock to the competition. Then again it could all just be for show.

his year's first person shooter showdown, isn't the first time that DICE has outwardly claimed that Call of Duty and Infinity Ward are an inferior development house. In Battlefield: Bad Company 2's, decidely average single player experience, the developer took multiple pot shots at the Call of Duty franchise, more explicitly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

I like to see the competitiveness in the BF devs.
Thus this is why BF is (imo) better than cod.

CoD is a fast paced game.. thats why i enjoy it. I will enjoy both games this fall but even i could see that The devs for the game have a grudge against cod..

Well heres how its going to happen:

Battelfeild 3 will have better gameplay.

ModernWarfare 3 will sell more coppies and be more addictive. Oh and to the guy below me, GTFO and don't be such a fanboy. If anything I want to see the CoD series get far stronger and better.

Dice always makes the better games. CoD is a cash cow; being milked by Activision. Hopefully, the franchise will soon die off and there will be a gap in the market for an FPS that may actually be worth playing. CoD is just old news now.

I completely disagree COD is a much better game i couldn't stand BF 1 or 2, the multilayer lacks a lot and isn't as well made in my opinion. And no im not being a fanboy because i prefer other games over COD like GOW

ANYWAY The call of duty Franchise has been heading toward a more realistic setting (getting rid of quick scoping... etc) or atleast thats what the developers claim. In that sense, Battlefield will always be better for starting off the realism.

Who said a game is supposed to be real it's a game, a place to chill, relax and have some fun with friends. It's stupid how people judge a game over realism, thats why Battlefield gets its fanboys and CoD gets it haters.

Long Story short CoD is better and always will be.
