Call of Duty Elite, A Reward For the Best Online Community

Call of Duty Elite, Activision’s subscription service for Call of Duty fans that offer stat-tracking, clan support, video sharing and social interaction, etc. Is not being developed by Modern Warfare 3 developers – Infinity Ward or Sledgehammer Games.

It’s being developed by Beachhead Studios and the developers think Elite is a the next “logical” step for the best-selling FPS franchise.

Speaking to OXM, Chacko Sonny, head of Beachhead Studios shared his thoughts regarding the Call of Duty community and Elite’s integration.

We have the best online community in the world and we owe it to them to offer an experience that will not only anticipate their needs but will keep getting better and better every single day.
He further added, ”We want our players to create a single profile and build a relationship with Elite that can continue to evolve with every CoD game.”

Elite is scheduled to launch this coming November when Modern Warfare 3 is available. It’s also worth mentioning that there will be free and paid features for Elite, but Activision has yet to disclose pricing or what the paid service will include.

isoblueguy rewarding its fans by charging us more for something that not only has been free since Halo3 for Bungie fans, but should definitely be free now for CoD fans who dish out over $100 a year for the game and its map pack? plus the other over $60 a lot of us play for XBL...

Lame. Nobody will buy it except a small group of 15th prestige die hard players. Everybody will only use the small free portion.

I Agree, i have to pay 2 mics, 1 year, 3 map packs... 150 dollars, and it is the only reason i have internet... i will be using the free portion of this item(s) too.

apperently you havnt looked at the statistics...they have already more pre-orders than any other COD game...
