Battlefield 3 may be in its closed alpha stage in which leaked footage is strictly forbidden, but to the delight of FPS fans everywhere, that clearly hasn't stopped this YouTube user. Ironically playing a military shooter as an American soldier, a player with the username, "UsamaFTW", uploaded a short montage of the game's multiplayer mode. This is of course from the PC version, but everything fans know and love from the Battlefield games can be seen here. Vehicular combat, massive, open-ended maps, and shockingly, guns that actually seem to have recoil when you fire them. Also worth noting is the impressive melee combat shown off at around 2:00 and the fact that DICE is clearly coming through on their promise to include destructible environments (watch at 2:35).
Again, Battlefield 3 is currently in its alpha stage. So this footage isn't a concrete representation of what you'll get when the game launches this October. Sure, the console version may not look as pretty, but just the idea of taking out window campers with a single rocket is enough to peak my interest.

Well, i am also a COD Guy. I didnt really get into Battlefield til BC2. I had BC1 but didnt like it at all. Anyways, i had a blast playing BC2 with all my friends when i got it for christmas in 2010. This game is going to be massive. I will be picking this up day 1 as well as Gears of War 3 and possible an Mw3 Midnight Launch for me. I am so sick of this BF3 vs MW3. If you dont have nothing nice to say about the game, dont say anything at all. I hate it. Both games look great, can we agree on that?
ValorDesigns not as good as i expected it to be and i mean that truthfully dont flame. i just dont like this style where as said before you need to actually play this game for a while to get good not like a pick up (mw2/halo) i feel this ruins the fun of the game or doesnt provide the best experience. i think its also slowpaced and i hate that the games take forever so when you add these two together it makes a game that you need to consistentley play and practically no life it untill the next game comes out. besides that EA/Dice uses the same engine for everygame they make besides battlefield which i dont like i honestly dont see it as realistic either believe it or not, it has a fake look all they do is add color schemes to an hd platform and they think its realistic. think about it the lens flares in the game are overused. if you got rid of the lens flares and removed color schemes it would look like a computer game. they focus on outside detail more then the actual focus point meaning the character or player themselves (how the gun is held/movement)
Keep in mind this is closed alpha gameplay. None of this is close to being complete.

I only played Hardcore mode on BC2 because of the ages to kill someone. The graphics are amazing, a little over the top on Contrast but still amazing.
