This next DLC character will be the second post-launch characters that players will have to pay for if they want to play as the fighter, assuming you don’t already own the pass that gives access to all the characters. Joker from Persona 5 was the first paid post-launch character to be added with Piranha Plant released before that as a bonus for those who redeemed their code in time to get the fighter.
The Dragon Quest Heroes are scheduled to be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC during Summer 2019.

- Collection of Mana on Switch Will be Launching Today
Trials of Mana is the official western name of Seiken Densetsu 3, officially releasing outside Japan for the first time today.
Square Enix revealed Collection of Mana on Nintendo Switch is coming west, and the game will be available on June 6, in a few hours as I’m writing this. The announcement was made during the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct.
Collection of Mana includes Final Fantasy Adventure, also known as Seiken Densetsu 1, Secret of Mana, which is Seiken Densetsu 2, and Seiken Densetsu 3, which is now officially known as Trials of Mana.
Trials of Mana is the official localization of Seiken Densetsu 3, historically coming west for the first time after its exclusive Japan release in 1995.
Seiken Densetsu 3 is by far one of my favorite games on SNES, I love it even more than Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 to pick popular examples. Purely judging from a story standpoint, the only SNES games matching it, in my opinion, are Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem 4 and Super Robot Wars 4.
- Pokemon Sword and Shield Debuts New Trailer
Pokemon Sword and Shield gets a brand trailer featuring the Water Gym and Gym Leader, Poke Ball details, and an upcoming demo.
Pokemon Sword and Shield, which has already gotten its own Nintendo Direct earlier this month, received more attention during the company’s E3 2019 Direct today. A new trailer debuted featuring the Water Gym and its Gym Leader Nessa. There will also be a demo launching, which will include a battle with her:
Poke Ball Plus can be used in conjunction with the game. When players take their Pokémon out for a stroll in the real world and spend some time with them, “something good might happen.” Most likely this effect is related to stat bonuses but the official details remain to be announced.
During the previous Direct, it was revealed that Pokemon Sword and Shield would be getting brand new Pokemon (no surprise there), Max Raid Battles, and two new Legendaries. A new area called the “Wild Area” premiered and it appears to be a massive, open space where players can encounter Pokemon in the overworld. To highlight the expansiveness, players can control the camera in this area. It is a fully dynamic world, with weather and location being determinants and variants for which types of Pokemon appear.
Of course the biggest reveal was the mechanic called “Dynamax,” where your Pokemon becomes huge with “incredible strength.” All moves turn into “Max Moves,” which are strong and may have additional effects in battle.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 15th.
