So, that Banjo-Kazooie reveal was pretty wild, right? Saving the best for last, we were given the first look of the iconic Rare character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. During that reveal, a new version of a familiar tune was also present giving some authenticity to the reveal. Turns out, the composer of Banjo-Kazooie, Grant Kirkhope, actually wrote that song and it will be included in the game.
This comes from Kirhope himself via Twitter. “Yes, I wrote the music in the reveal,” confirms Kirkhope, “and it’s going to be in the game!” Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features some re-hashes of old video game tunes so it’s cool to see that Banjo-Kazooie will be getting the same treatment.
Surprise!!!! Banjo-Kazooie are coming to Super #SmashBrosUltimate, and yes I wrote the music in the reveal and it’s going to be in the game!!!!! pic.twitter.com/J8X6zZ4VIg

The first Challenger Pack featuring Person 5’s Joker included the fighter, a new stage, and 11 tracks from the Persona series. While specifics for the Banko-Kazooie Challenger Pack has yet to be detailed, we did get a glimpse of the new stage based on the Spiral Mountain location from the original game. As far as music is concerned, I hope we get the intro music from the first game. Banjo-Kazooie for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be available in fall this year.
Banjo-Kazooie was not the only DLC fighter revealed on the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct. The hero from the Dragon Quest series will also be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate this summer. If the first Challenger Pack is indicative of what these upcoming packs will cost, they will be $5.99 each. However, a Fighters Pass, which includes all five DLC packs, is available for $24.99.
