MW3 pre-orders “significantly” ahead of Black Ops

What was said by a UK retailer some weeks ago has now been said by Activision to be true worldwide; pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 are tracking “significantly” ahead of last year’s Black Ops.

Acti CEO Bobby Kotick relinquished the info in the company’s Q2 2011 results report: “To date, pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 have significantly exceeded the pre-orders for Black Ops at this time last year.”

A Black Ops vs predecessor Modern Warfare 2 sales update is also provided: it’s 25 and 22 million units, respectively.

Treyarch only sold more then MW2 or COD4 because they hyped it up so much with the trailers and the "Cool Killstreaks" Ext. Plus people were thinking "If MW2 was this good then the next game is going to be so much better!" I personally HATED the game after a month. The original maps SUCKED for sniping, the guns all sounded the same with Surpressor on them, the FAMAS was the most overpowered gun in the game, people were just too easy to kill. I Sold my Blackops after I went 157 and 9 on a demo match with a commando without spawn trapping on....I think it was called cracked?

I agree Black ops was a great game, MW2 was horrible with all these campers campoing for killstreaks N noobtubers n rpging, commando & all that stuff, i think they are mad cause they suck big cocks at black ops

Black ops was a waste of time. Never gonna pre-order any CoDs again. If you notice the battlefield series was almost always really good.
Im not saying i wont buy CoD games, Im just sayin ill wait a bit and here some feedback on it first and you guys might wanna do the same.

i switched to bf cause im done with cod. besides it being the same every year, i paid f*cking $80 for BO Hardened Edition and was banned in the first week of Jan for using a modded controller ONCE! im never buying a game from them again. they can steal money from someone else

No B I T C H They didn't only sell because of Hype COD has a lot of hardcore fans ( Like me ) that love and buy all there games Because they like it if you dont like it doesnt mean every one feels the same Black Ops does not suck, neither does Mw2 nor waw or Cod 4 IMO. sure they have there flaws but making a perfect game is Hard for any game company.
