MW3 pre-orders “significantly” ahead of Black Ops

What was said by a UK retailer some weeks ago has now been said by Activision to be true worldwide; pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 are tracking “significantly” ahead of last year’s Black Ops.

Acti CEO Bobby Kotick relinquished the info in the company’s Q2 2011 results report: “To date, pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 have significantly exceeded the pre-orders for Black Ops at this time last year.”

A Black Ops vs predecessor Modern Warfare 2 sales update is also provided: it’s 25 and 22 million units, respectively.

nah i find that with the trearch made games,waw and bo.but the modern warfare series nvr.i play cod4 3 yrs straight nothing else.mw2 still playing plenty.i just past 100k kills on mw2

I've never found any of the CoD's good after a moth of its release, except for Cod2, Cod4, and W@W. I found Modern Warfare 2 a load of bullshit. Call of Duties always improve once all the idiot fanboys move on to the newest game, leaving the previous more fun and entertaining. So I can't wait for Mw3, not because I'm getting it, but because it will make mw2 and Black Ops loads more fun, because of the lack of 12 year old noobs and quick scopers

People who say stuff like this are clueless lol.. infinity ward and treyarch are two different game producers.. they don't really like overlapping on each other, thus why perks and stuff are never called the same things 'second chance/last stand'. Treyarch is good at making crappy games though I have to give them credit for that.


and fyi the commando perk was fun, sure it was a little bs, but alot of things in mw2 were bs, but the game was still loads more fun than black ops. My only real complaint about mw2, was the bizarre hit registry; dying while getting around corners was rather annoying.. Also the air support did get a little out of control

Black ops is bad and its too easy end of story. I wish they had put commando perk in the game, at least I might be able to depend on the knife, but as it stands now the knife is a big turd. Ive been killed countless times when im not even in someones screen by a knife, ive been stabbed when i was completely behind someone.. its amazing.. I have video proof too. Id rather deal with commando bs than knife and miss and get killed because of it, or get knife lunged when they are like 8 feet away without commando. Fix the damn games connection too, the registry is terrible.

Anyways MW3 is gonna be much better than BF3 i'm sure. No one likes monstrous levels that take 100 years to navigate your way across. borrinnnggg
