Call of Duty could lose 20% market share this fall

EA is well aware that it is highly unlikely that Battlefield 3 outperform the Call of Duty juggernaut this fall. Earlier EA COO Peter Moore explained the companies strategy in launching so close to Call of Duty, and its all about market share. The company believes that this strategy to steal market share from the industry leader will put EA in a position to steal back the shooter crown in the coming years.

"It's less about being second place. This is about taking market share. This is really about a long-term strategy in what we think is a very important shooter segment that has driven over the last few years multiple billions of dollars of revenue into the industry,...If you look at last year, you might argue that Call of Duty took maybe 90 percent of the market share. We think we can knock that down to 70 percent this year. We don't have to outsell Call of Duty to have a very successful year. This is a long-term strategy to be a major player, if not ultimately a dominant player in this industry. But it starts this year."

Well if I were to come on here and say I like BF3 and started saying how much better it is not only would I be called a fanboy but I would get **** raged on by everyone who is a CoD fan, and they would try there very best to say how wrong I am.... I mean come on, BF3 will obviously be better than MW3... Just because something will get more sales doesn't mean that it's better.... Plus BF3 has way better graphics in it's alpha stage alone than MW3 will in it's full game.... Besides that MW3 is practically MW2 with a some what minor graphics update, a big map pack, and the return of old guns from previous games...... Im not saying that MW3 will suck, im just saying that BF3 will be so much better !!!!! **** at me if you want, but i've made my opinion

There is no level on which one is better, Its for you to decide which one is better in your own personal mind, they are both completely different games don't just come braging it online oh mw3 beats bf3 bla bla its just 12 year olds trying to get people really annoyed, im getting both games because i like MW3 for its multiplayer and just running and gunning, but bf3 seems really fun to play just grab a car and run people over that's what i pretty much would do, im not a good player at the battlefield series but it wont stop me buying it. btw my grammar sucks(:

Alright before i state my opinion, i must confess i loved both mw2 and bc2 so im not a biased opinion. anyways, lets get started.

Mw3 is going to be the shit. bc3 is going to be an awesome game, but mw3 is going to be epic! just a look at spec ops and survival should be enough evidence to show that. and for all of those people who are saying "oh its just going to be the same as anyother CoD", your wrong. Survival is going to be like nothing youve ever seen!! and if you go to GameStop, I guarentee you Mw2 used is no less than $25, its probably $30 and bc2 is probably $27. besides, the Battle Field series only offer campaign and multiplayer, while CoD has introduced a insanely popular game mode called "N@zi Zombies" and spec ops and now survival mode. Mw3 is going to be the best CoD yet, and is going to be popular for years and years.

We have seen Spec ops gameplay on inside xbox on the dash board and to me, the graphics look like counter strike mixxed with black ops. Even though its in alpha stage, many other games, not just BF, but GOW3 and HCEA look entirly better.

EA and Dice will always be second and flamed because they want to dethrone the King.

regardless of which game is better, it will always seem like it's copying from CoD4. not Halo, not Rainbow Six, not Ghost Recon.

Any feature in CoD that came from Halo or previous games, is from a different game universe. where as BF is just trying to do the same thing as CoD4.

I've been playing COD since it came out and I've never had lag issues. Whoever says COD is too laggy needs to get a job and afford a good connection, but since you all are 14-16 year olds I doubt that'll ever happen.
