We might be soon witnessing a brand new entry of Capcom’s Monster Hunter series on Nintendo Switch. Dusk Golem, known for leaking some true information about Resident Evil Village before its official announcement, mentioned so on Twitter. Dusk Golem added that this new Monster Hunter game on Switch would be using a version of the RE Engine compatible with Nintendo’s platform.
To elaborate on two things, Monster Hunter Switch is running on a Switch compatible version of the RE Engine, which is why I've been posting っ○ whenever I've been talking about it for the last few months, it's supposed to be the RE Engine logo. pic.twitter.com/x5vT4DrwYM

A new Monster Hunter on Switch would likely feature the same overhauled systems as Monster Hunter World. This entry made the series reach worldwide success by being less rigid and easier to get into, while staying hard to master.
The only Monster Hunter game available on Nintendo Switch right now is Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, known in Japan as Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross). It’s an HD version of the Nintendo 3DS game of the same name.
While Capcom initially started Monster Hunter in 2004 as a console series on PS2, the franchise’s most lucrative days have been on portable consoles, and how Monster Hunter on PSP became a social phenomenon in Japan. Co-op rather than PvP has always been more appreciated in the Archipel, and Monster Hunter has always been great in providing that sense of camaraderie. If a new Switch entry is confirmed, it could definitely become one of the Switch’s best selling games ever in japan.
Needless to say, don’t get too excited as no Monster Hunter Switch game was officially announced yet.
Capcom mentioned earlier this year it’s planning to launch multiple big titles before March 2021 ends. The studio is also working on Pragmata, a next-gen new IP shrouded in mystery besides its reveal trailer. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It regularly receives new updates with events and bosses.
