Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360 Plagued with Server Issues

Servers have been up and down all night on the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3.

The game launched in North America yesterday, but despite a beta test which publisher EA says was downloaded 9.5 million times on all platforms, it appears players have been struggling to get into multiplayer games.

Despite the offical Battlefield Twitter account declaring the problems resolved six hours ago, gamers continue to report problems on Twitter and forums. Some users are also struggling with the Battlelog service.

The most recent official update says maintenance is ongoing, and that servers should be back online shortly. Battlefield 3 will be released in Europe for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 on Friday.

That shouldnt be a reason they should be able to take millions of people joining there server infinityward/treyarc dont get flooded & teporarily shut down and they take 20 times as more people than BF3 servers

Do you know what dedicated servers are? DICE actually has to run and maintain it. It's not like COD where the entire lobby is dependent on one persons connection. And did you happen to play Black Ops on day one? Their nondedicated servers were acting even worse.
first is first yes dice runs their own servers...but they werent expecting the amount of players that are currently online atm...infinity ward and treyarch are prepared because cod is the highest selling game of all time...

They run off peer to peer connections which have LAG ALL THE TIME thats why when you run around a corner you still die
im sick of all you cod and bf fanboys who talk crap but dont even know the proper facts about the game
battlefield has dedicated servers and since your a stupid fanboy you wouldnt know that cod doesnt have the dedicated servers
battlefield is run off from EA themselves and not peer to peer so yes there will be times that the servers are like that
now stfu and go play cod some more you retarded fanboy
