Modern Warfare 3 sells 6.5M in biggest day-one ever

We all need some extra cash in the holiday season, and if you're looking for someone to hit up for a loan, we'd recommend your rich Uncle Activision. The company just announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sold 6.5 million units in the US and UK on its first day, good for $400 million. To put it in perspective, that's the biggest day-one for any entertainment product ever in history. This tops previous records set by Modern Warfare 2: a paltry $310 million and Black Ops, estimated to have made $360 million in its first day.
Of course, analysts had pre-orders pegged at roughly 9 million, so you know what that means to Battlefield 3 fans. Yes, Modern Warfare 3 is a huge disappointment falling well short of expectations. See, internet? Everybody wins!
everyone is saying mw3 was a disappointment. other than being a clone of mw2 i think the story is great and i like the fact that it has a good long campaign . i myself prefer bf3 or bad company 2 for online play but i think modern warfare has way better campaigns, and the spec ops are great aswell. i d0o wish they would upgrade they're engine though.
Dude everyone right now is saying this game was a big disapointment when probly half of them havent played it. Second of all look at all the gameplays/Commentarts that are already out in not even a week of realease. Stop trollin actually play the game, and if youdont like it then, then your in denial.
KiiLER i do think MW3 is a great game, however id rather play cod 4 anyday. MW3 is addicting and provides a fun 4 hours of strait gameplay i can enjoy. However after that it gets old and repetitive. Then im off to BF3 for the rest of the night ... it doesnt get old and will always be fun in my opinion. MW3 will get boring and old as all the other cods do.

I have to agree, but not in the sense that its better than those two.
I would rather play any of the old Call of dutys and old battlefield games than play the mainstream crap people push out there arses today.
But only because of its originality and how much fun it was, don't get me wrong I love playing new games but you just cant beat the older versions.
