Seven million copies of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have been shipped to retailers since its launch last week, publisher Bethesda has announced. More than half of that figure was sold in the game's first 48 hours on shelves. In a press release, game director Todd Howard said: "Without a doubt, this has been our most ambitious project ever. After over three years of development, we're finally excited to get it into everyone's hands." Robert Altman, chairman and CEO of Bethesda parent Zenimax Media, added: "We are grateful for the fans' response to Skyrim. Todd Howard and his team at Bethesda have crafted a very special game.
"Anticipation for Skyrim has surpassed [that of] any game in our company's history, and we are pleased that sales and reviews have reflected the quality and hours of amazing gameplay it provides."

I have the game sitting beside me but have yet to play it. Been too busy trying to play all the other good games out now like MW3, Battlefield 3, Forza 4 and I still have Fifa 12 unopened that I've yet to play.
I was going to wait until a patch got released for Skyrim before I played it, I heard there were a few bugs and a graphics glitch in the xbox version.
