Battlefield 3 sells through 8 million of 12 million total shipped

In the month of November, EA moved another 3 million copies of Battlefield 3. At least, that's according to numbers revealed yesterday by EA CFO Eric Brown at the Baird Technology Conference in San Francisco (as reported by Game Informer), which has the game selling 8 million units in total across all its platforms out of 12 million shipped.

As with most major game launches, both the shipped and sold amounts of the game have dropped significantly since launch, with two million being pushed to retail from EA in the month of November versus 10 million during the first week. The game's first big expansion -- "Back to Karkand" -- is set to be released some time in December, with PS3 owners getting a crack at it one

Battlefield 3 is good for realism and more serious plaers.

Modern Warfare 3 is arcade, and better for the casual gamer.

People have been playing Call of Duty, a fast pace , arcade fps first so they think every other fps that competes with Call of Duty is trash. Actually the first Battlefield on consoles was a Battlefield 2 spin-off called Modern Combat that wasn't too popular.

Spawning on BF3 is a **** idea because you always get spawned next to an enemy even if you spawn at your own area. Guns do **** all meaning it is luck every time you kill someone if they are shooting you aswell. And the equipment is so crap no one uses it apart from twats

Your in a trance put on you by the COD franchise... in COD there is no skill needed in Battlefield the warfare is just like it is now... it doesnt matter how many copies have been sold... have you even looked at how many people are actually online for BF3 Vs. MW3 yah thats right... 6:30 pm Central time only 553k people are on MW3 7:30 pm Central time 672k people are on bf3.... see the diffrence? more people play BF3 multiplayer because it requires skill... COD is filled with hackers and children that beg for boosting or free maximum level.... do us all a favor and play the games before you talk trash to someone that has the money to buy every new game when it comes out...


1. I like how you compare MW3's 6:30 PM to BF3's 7:30 PM

2. Get COD out of a BF3 section

3. Don't say COD takes no skill when its in the Pro circuit (Witch you obviously have to have skill to win)

4. I like both COD and BF but overall I like COD more and im more mature then most people that I meet even some that are 18 (Im 14)..

5. Theres skill in BF3 more of a positioning game then full 1v1 and as people say it has more team play its true but that dosent mean COD does not at ALL.. It depends on who you play with and you communication team player is forced into BF3, MW3 you got to make it on your own and actually is more effective then BF3 cause of the large maps.
