Battlefield 3 sells through 8 million of 12 million total shipped

In the month of November, EA moved another 3 million copies of Battlefield 3. At least, that's according to numbers revealed yesterday by EA CFO Eric Brown at the Baird Technology Conference in San Francisco (as reported by Game Informer), which has the game selling 8 million units in total across all its platforms out of 12 million shipped.

As with most major game launches, both the shipped and sold amounts of the game have dropped significantly since launch, with two million being pushed to retail from EA in the month of November versus 10 million during the first week. The game's first big expansion -- "Back to Karkand" -- is set to be released some time in December, with PS3 owners getting a crack at it one

Okay what people tend to forget is that Call of Duty has been on the console for many, many years and battlefield hasn't the franchise finally came to console with the release of Bad Company, but the series has been out way before that but was a PC game only, maybe if Battlefield were to release before Call of Duty started people would have a different perspective of the game they played. People have been playing Call of Duty, a fast pace , arcade fps first so they think every other fps that competes with Call of Duty is trash. I loved Call of Duty until Black Ops, the only reason I had Black Ops was for the zombies but that still gets boring. I've also always loved Battlefield, I prefer to play Battlefield because it is a different experience every game I play, including every match, Call of Duty not so much. The game tends to get repetitive, and fast.

OH ******* wait, MW3 sold 6.5 Million on the day of release in just the UK and US.
Spawning on BF3 is a **** idea because you always get spawned next to an enemy even if you spawn at your own area. Guns do **** all meaning it is luck every time you kill someone if they are shooting you aswell. And the equipment is so crap no one uses it apart from twats
