Analyst – GTA V will outsell the next Call of Duty

EEDAR’s Jesse Divnich has tipped Rockstar to end Call of Duty’s three year streak at the top of the annual charts.“It goes without saying that GTA V will be one of the year’s biggest releases, but I will take it one step farther and say GTA V will be 2012′s biggest release, the analyst told IndustryGamers.

Dont get me wrong, Call of Duty will undoubtedly be huge, as it is every year and it may even grow, but if I had to call what will be a photo finish race, I will go with GTA V.”

Grand Theft Auto IV has shifted over 22 million copies worldwide in the three years since its launch. That said, each of the three most recent Call of Duty releases – 2009′s Modern Warfare 2, 2010′s Black Ops, and 2011′s Modern Warfare 3 – have set entertainment launch records, outselling not just games but films, books and music.

Grand Theft Auto V was formally announced in November, although beyond the first trailer, Rockstar won’t tell us anything.

All major gtas which have came out have been the biggest launch of all time look at gta 3,vice city and sa which all have had major launchs and gta 3 made 3d gaming like it is today

Kootah I will definitely be buying GTA V when it's released and I can honestly say it is so much better than any Call of Duty game. The graphics are better and you can tell there's a lot more time put into GTA than Call of Duty.

Can't wait for the release.


Multiplayer sure as hell ain't better.

how can you even say that? none of us know what will consist of GTA V's multiplayer ... It possible could be better and more addictive and any call of duty and even more addictive!!


Hmm..it's not like there was a GTA game before GTA V that had multiplayer on it.


GTA isnt based on multiplayer though its based on the story whereas COD is. multiplayer is a bit extra fun.

You can't really compare GTA and COD... They're 2 completely different genres. But, I do believe GTA V will be the biggest release of 2012.

i have played all the GTAs from 3 to gay tony and i loved them all the way its an exelent game cuz if u dont feel like playing serious and do missions u can allways go out and have some fun its not like COD were you play serious 95% of the time

gta 5 is more open world than CoD, of course more people will buy this, if they made new gta's every November GTA would be the most anticipated series
