Black Ops 2 domain back in Activision’s grasp

Activision seems committed to a yearly Call of Duty, and with 2011's Modern Warfare 3 under its belt, it's time to start looking towards the future. While nothing has officially been revealed just yet, new information has it sounding more likely that we may see a revisit to the Call of Duty: Black Ops series in the near future, which makes sense, what with the game making over a billion dollars since it released in 2010.
Fusible reports that Activision has recently registered the domain name blackops2.com, adding fuel to the speculative fire surrounding the next Call of Duty game. Well, Activision didn't actually purchase it directly, they did so through MarkMonitor, a service used by major companies to acquire domain names. A few months back the publisher picked up blackops3, blackops4, blackops5, blackops6, through MarkMonitor, but was unable to get blackops2 for some reason. It would appear that whatever was in the way has now moved aside (likely thanks to a large check with lots of 0s), as the publisher now owns the domain and can do with it whatever it wants. We're guessing that it's going to eventually put a website on there with a countdown clock that will countdown to a tease for a release date of the first trailer, which will actually only tease a longer trailer to be debuted at a later date, but that's just our guess.
There's always the chance that it is just securing the domain names just in case, but we'd be quite surprised if Activision didn't return to the Black Ops universe in the sooner than later.

Nicasus Treyarch should just stop making CoD games, and start making Zombies games.


they introduced the theatre feture (never seen before),cod points,gold camos on every weapon exept pistols..i don't think they need to stop making games..

i.e. gold weapons had been done for yearsss by the modding community. Halo had theatre before cod. cod points? lmfao, FPS's have had currency way before black ops.

Personally I liked almost everything about Black Ops, other then the shitty server and the Zombies maps that is. MW3 was okay for a day, but after that it just started to suck, what Infinity ward should've done was make an expansion pack for MW2 because that game would've been perfect without One Man Army Tubes, not to mention it still is a fun game.
What I'm trying to say is that I would look forward to Black Ops 2 just as long as they updated to a stronger server, so that the connection is equal for everyone and they went back to the Roots of the Zombies part of the franchise, by that i mean more maps like Der Riese.

What are you talking about you predicted the next IW game? The next game is made by TA and it's not MW4. I'm only buying this if it has good zombies. Also only if the zombies are evolving, I'm NOT buying if it's the same old zombies with only new guns and new maps! Let's get some objective that's not just overly frustrating Easter eggs and almost worthless reward! Black ops has been the second best cod, second to W@W. IW sucks and all there games are the same. I'm sick of 10 year old kids 10th lobbies and trick shots. Just play the game to have fun. Trick shots are okay. I just hate when you have a kid who waits until everyone is dead in s&d then Reyes to clutch with trick shits and quickscopes and ALWAYS fails.. Then they talk about that ONE time where they actually pulled it off, prolly against 1st prestige n00bs come on!! IW=Fail




we would be lucky to get a new IW CoD! too bad they arent making one, and i agree i will only buy Bops 2 if there are good zombies

Rozy Black ops 2 = awesome, black ops is way better than mw3 and everyone that hates on black ops usually sucked at it. Treyarch makes the best online maps.


Wouldn't call a 2.79 K/D and 1.04 W/L ratio sucking at Black Ops. I still dislike it. Way too slow paced = way too easy to play = no challenge = Boring.

Also, Treyarch makes maps with unecessary extras like opening/closing doors. As for the design they make horrible maps.

This is my opinion, not a fact. For me, this is true. Unlike you I don't try to force my opinion onto others. If you think Treyarch is better, go ahead.
