Infinity Ward will work with Treyarch more in the future

According to the Official Xbox Magazine, Infinity Ward and Treyarch have had a rebellious tension the past couple years when it came to Call of Duty, and why wouldn’t they? Both studios should always strive to improve and out do the previous Call of Duty entry. However, with more and more new features shared between the studios like “Gun Game” and “One in the Chamber”, the the studios will finally band together more in the future according to Infinity Ward.

In the newest OXM issue hitting news stands this month, Robert Bowling said “I think there will always be a lot of communication back and forth. At the end of the day we are two different developers and we have different opinions about the games we make and the games they make. When we do something really great it would be good for theirs, and when they do something really great it would be good for ours, so I think you are going to see a lot more of that. We’re taking in feedback as a franchise as a whole, not just our individual iterations any more.”

He made similar remarks to NowGamer.com when he said “Every year, we have that challenge of looking at what the previous Call of Duty has done, and trying to learn from that and better our own game because of it. do the same thing with Treyarch games, and I hope that they do the same thing with our games.”

When asked about how Call of Duty should change during the leap to Xbox 720 he said “After any big project you sit down and decide where we want to go next,” Bowling commented, “and in that conversation we consider what new technology is going to be available to us, what restrictions no longer apply that were there in the past and what our resources are, so especially in a transitional period in our industry that’s also something we have to take in. Right now, we haven’t decided what our next move is as Infinity Ward, but we are going to be taking all of that to our next iteration.”

I like treyarchs multiplayer, there is not one problem with there Multiplayer, it isn't bad like MW3.

The word "KID" you use, don't make you seem a lot older then the person that has his facts wrong. By the way IW sucks I hate MW3 along with Robert Bowling, If IW does work a lot with Treyarch there is no way on hell I will possibly by this next Call of Duty maybe for the zombies and if it is 3archs Multiplayer(Black ops or WaW) .If it looks garbage like MW3 I will save my money and buy Halo 4 or a 3rd copy of BF3.

the Call of duty enterprises should come up with a game as great as call of duty:4 but at the same time include the key factors of why people play these games. The big-wigs/CEOs need to stop changing everything once the game is released. Also they need to incorporate a game mode that suits all players. In Black Ops there was the online multiplayer, and then there was the Zombies. With the great step up from W@W the zombies became one of the most played/desired game types in black ops. If Treyarch and Infinity Ward came together and made a NEW game(No stupid add ons to the games they have already made. ie. MW2,MW3, possibly Black ops2) It would take over the FPS market. The only thing that would be a down fall is all the add ons to the game that IW like to put in, like taking game modes in and out of the game, and adding 400 new levels. The $60 bonus content that allows the player to get the new releases before everyone else is stupid, since CoD is a multi-platform game buying the Premium on PS3 is almost pointless. The bonus content is available to the normal xbox user before the Premium will even allow the PSN users to play it. All in all if there was a fair balance with these two companies there would be a GREAT game, but seeing how they act towards each other in the past, if a game like this comes out it will be the only one in a long time.

Why can't Call of Duty go back to the old days of Call of Duty 2 or Call of Duty 4? Back in those days, everyone of course had there own opinions but it wasn't like WWIII Starting. Modern Warfare 1 was AMAZING, Modern Warfare 2 was GREAT, aside from mods for a while, Black Ops sucked, except for Zombies, and Modern Warfare 3 is god awful.

I've never been a huge fan of Battlefield...But I missed Shooter games so much, I went out and bought Battlefield 3. Modern Warfare 2 has grown old and is no fun without friends :/

But the CoD Series has done nothing but go downward in a spiral since the time between World at War - Modern Warfare 2 came out...

Shooting games like CoD are just no fun anymore...I'm going all Battlefield and Medal of Honor now. Until another Call of Duty that's actually good comes out -_-
