There were however recent mockups from industry insider Tom Henderson for what he believes will be the cover art for COD 2022, which will reportedly be titled ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II‘, a sequel to 2019’s reboot of the Modern Warfare franchise.
Although many have already begun speculating that 2023 will see another entry into the Black Ops franchise due to Treyarch Studios being at the helm, none of us expected to see images of the early alpha build quite so soon.
Call of Duty Black Ops 2023 Images Leak Online
As 2023’s instalment of Call of Duty is still quite some time away, the game is of course still going to be in extremely early development. The leaked images appear to include a large number of placeholders from Black Ops Cold War, which was released back in November 2020.
The images can be found in the tweet below, courtesy of Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope, although it’s worth noting that the images do not come directly from Hope as the source is currently unknown.
Potential COD2023 leaked images which I personally think has some real aspects to it with where they would be on development at this stage https://t.co/lqCrcPGCCp

However, Hope is a trusted leaker within the community and he believes that the images have “some real aspects” to them, considering the current stage of the development process.
There are multiple images included in the Imgur link, some of which show off the early UI design, as well as the standard Call of Duty modes, Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. Fans will also notice that the working title is Black Ops T10, which is a standard code for Treyarch to use as Black Ops 3 was ‘T8’ and Black Ops Cold War was ‘T9’.
An extremely blurry image can also be seen which appears to be a slide from an internal presentation at Treyarch, titled ‘Black Ops Design Goals’. Although many of the bullet points are difficult to read, some of them clearly state:
Create innovative yet familar system designs
Bride gap between MW core systems and BO
Refer to COD Classic game design guidance
Return to “classic” Zombies
Of course, all of these Call of Duty 2023 images could be easily faked by someone that knows what they’re doing. We’ve also never seen images of Call of Duty title leak this early into development, so we recommend taking it all with a pinch of salt for the time being.
